Freedom Waterless Car Wash
By Stefanie

I mentioned Freedom Waterless Car Wash in a previous post, but I hadn't had a chance to try it myself until yesterday. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised with the products.

What is Freedom Waterless Car Wash?

Pretty much exactly what it sounds like. It, obviously, saves a lot of water that would otherwise wash down the drain, and it is biodegradable, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly. The original formula contains Montan and Carnauba wax, while formula one is wax-free.

How do you use it?

It's really easy, actually. You spray it on, rub it in (with a microfiber towel), buff it off. That's it! The only catch is that you can't use the product on excessively soiled areas. The tire shine spray is even easier, you just spray it on and leave it to dry.

How does it work?

This is the part that surprised me most. I was expecting it to get the dirt off, but it did more than that. It made the color of my car seem more vibrant, and it was shining like crazy!

How much is it?

The package that includes one 26oz. bottle of each product (both car washes and the tire shine) and 12 microfiber towels, which is supposed to be able to do 20 washes or more, depending on car size, is $49.95. If you purchase the bottles separately, they are $24.99 each, and a pack of 12 microfiber towels is also $24.99.

My Experience

I only received samples, so we didn't wash my whole car. We used the original formula on the trunk, and the results were great. I tried to get a before picture, but the dirt just didn't show up well. Trust me when I say that it was pretty gross... I seem to be in the path of the tree poop monster. Here is an after picture, anyway, so you can see the extreme shine:

Mazda 3 Trunk

While we were using the product, we noticed that someone had opened their door into my driver side back door, leaving a dent and paint transfer. We used formula one on this spot, since it is wax-free, and were pretty impressed.

The after picture is the result after minimum buffing with the waterless car wash product.

As for the tire shine, I approve. I don't normally like tire shine, but this one left the tires looking pretty good.

Mazda 3 Tire Before Mazda 3 Tire After

Yes, the after picture is of a different tire then the before. We moved the car, and the before picture was no longer in the sun, so you couldn't see the shine as well.

Overall, I'm quite happy with the results of Freedom Waterless Car Wash, and if you enjoy washing your car by hand, I recommend it.
